POWRi Racing Australia, along with Mid-Western Speedway Darlington have come together over the last few months to bring short track open wheel racing to South West Victoria.
In a project spearheaded by POWRi representatives, Stephen Bell and Ash Sinclair, countless hours of work have gone into the venue and behind the scenes in readiness for the first racing event on Friday December 1st.
The unconventional choice to run Friday nights was easy, as there are LOTS of race cars within an hour of the venue and plenty of race fans needing an extra fix in the area.
A small but exciting 3 event calendar has been set for the first season with plans to expand in the coming seasons.
Friday December 1st 2023, Tuesday January 23rd 2024 – Microsprint ProAm Friday and February 16th 2024
The crew from Hosey Transport & Livestock have done a fantastic job building a 190m Micro sprint track, utilizing the existing turns 1 & 2 with an infield cut through for turns 3 & 4, all whilst making sure the original and ever important racing surface of the full track isn’t compromised.
Friday Night December 1st, will be the opening night for the Microsprints with Non wing Junior & Senior racing set to take place.

Spectators are more than welcome to get out and enjoy a night of all open wheel elbows up racing.Gates open at 4pm with cars on track at 6.30pm
