The season is almost done and yet there are still a couple of big, exciting Aussie Titles to be determined including the Aussie Late Model Title at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway and the Dirt X Ind Australian Pro Sprint Championship at Avalon Raceway this Friday and Saturday.
So far 57 nominations have been lodged for the Pro Sprint Title from every state and territory.And don’t think this is a poor mans or budget Sprintcar Title because the one thing about the Pro Sprint class is the cars are so much more even across the spread and team budgets than the open cars due to the engine restrictions.
With that in mind however, there are still same big names contesting the event including Jock Goodyer looking to add a third type of Aussie crown to his resume, Robbie Farr, Jamie Veal, Brett Milburn, Ryan Jones, Mark Caruso, Chad Ely and others trying to add another Pro Sprint title to their names.Tasmanian Tate Frost, South Aussie Daniel Pestka, and local Michael Tancredi are all in hot recent form as are event Sponsor Paul Solomon and Steven Loader to name just a few.
For some the Thursday night practice will be critical as quite a few have never cut any laps around the Lara venue and it is a unique track with either end being slightly different from the other.
With the season almost over this is a late season opportunity for a cracking event in the cooling southern region so make sure you don’t miss it.
