V83 Chris Solomon who was running the old 372 motor, qualified 3rd into the final and was holding down second place throughout the A main. With one lap to go, he got loose coming into the main straight, hit the wall and bought on the caution. V83 Chris Solomon was able to restart. After the green/white chequer, Chris finished in 8th position.

At the same time Chris brought on the caution, V7 Paul Solomon, got tangled up with other cars in turn 1and 2 and then rolled over in turn 1&2 which ended his night.

The final was won by V40 Rusty Hickman,  Rusty won both his heats and started on pole. Rusty dominated the Final.

V7 Paul Solomon, was running his 360 engine in both the open events and the Pro Sprint events. After winning one heat of the Pro Sprints, Paul started in position 4 in the Pro Sprints final.

Josh Buckingham (V23) was exceptionally good and led the Pro Sprint Final from flag to flag however he did not meet the weight requirements and was excluded for the event.

V7 Paul Solomon, who finished second was declared the winner. Paul said “it’s not the way you want to win a race, but I suppose they’re the rules that we all run to”.

The finishing positions in the Pro Sprint final were 1st  V7 Paul Solomon,  2nd Sam Wren. 3rd Dennis Jones, 4th Jordan Rae. 5th V10 Steve Loader

Chris and Paul will be back Heartland Raceway again this weekend (17th Feb) for another round of the Sprintcar Allstars Series.

Chris will be in the Brad Foster V11 and Paul will be back in the V7 (after a few repairs during the week).
