Heartland Raceway Moama blasts back onto the National Scene on Saturday night February 4, 2023!!

Heartland Raceway Moama blasts back onto the National Scene on Saturday night February 4, 2023!!  Flooding along the Murray and throughout the region refocussed priorities at the end of 2022, but along with the summer break, and the ensuing hot weather….

Heartland Raceway Moama is roaring back into action with a full card for the opening fixture.

The Eureka Sheds and Garages SRA Sprintcar Series has covered many corners of Victoria already this season, and now they venture North to contest Round 8 of their 20th Anniversary season at Heartland Raceway.  Matthew Reed, Corey McCullagh, Grant Anderson, Brett Milburn, Ash Cook and Grant Stansfield are among the standout performers so far this season…

The C & H Trucking Sprintcar Series for ‘Pro-Sprints’, and co-ordinated by the SRA, returns to Moama after their debut here last season.  During the off-season, the Sprintcar Control Council of Australia brought together Limited Sprintcars under varied engine specs, putting them together as Pro-Sprints.

Last year Chris Temby surprised many in his debut sprintcar drive finishing on the podium in this event, and along with Deniliquin Businessman, Fast Eddie Lumbar and Ballarat’s Sam Wren will be competitors to look out for.

SDAV Hotrods make their long awaited return to the wide open spaces at Moama, cited as a favorite for many of their racers.  Eddie Invermee (fresh from a Rushworth win), Russell and Kali Hovey, Phil Jenkins,  Shannon Meakins and Allan Boradale are among the competitors expected to turn laps at Moama.

An exciting edition to the program for this meeting is the Late Model Racing Victoria. After being cancelled earlier in the season due to the weather issues, the Late Model sedans have not seen sufficient track time leading into their National Championship scheduled for Premier Speedway Warrnambool later in February.

LMRV officials and Promoter Dave Roberts have negotiated to reschedule to this meeting.  Cancellations in NSW have also prevented their competitors from gaining any track time, so a large contingent is expected to converge on Moama to get their machinery sorted.  Victoria’s Shane Belk, Chevy Edwards, Peter Nicola and Brendan Hucker  will all be keen to get some laps under their belts, with possible appearances such as Ross Nicastri and Lachlan Onley out of NSW….

The action will be HOT and FAST …..Be There!

On track action from 6pm…..Adults $30, Concession $25, Children under 5 Free
